South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a critical care electronic patient record lean nurse to be part of the implementation team, and establish and manage the critical care electronic patient record.   The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day technical and educational support of the trust’s critical care electronic patient record; including maintenance, system upgrades and supporting business intelligence.

This is an exciting role for someone who has critical care experience and a professional registration, is technically minded and passionate about digital transformation, and who has a drive to help South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust improve its digital maturity.

Main duties of the job

This will include configuring the system, managing users, analysing data, educating super users, and supporting users. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring interfaces and reporting system problems and failures to IT and the external company, and assist in upgrades. The role will encompass rollout in General critical care, Cardio ICU and HDU, Neuro HDU and Spinal HDU.

The successful candidate should have critical care experience as a registered nurse or ODP, and knowledge of critical care clinical systems. You should be digitally literate, and had your STEP 2 award.

  • Extensive and expert clinical knowledge of patient monitoring systems and critical care patient care devices care patient care devices

Qualifications

  • Registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
  • Relevant post registration clinical course or equivalent experience
  • Teaching qualification or equivalent teaching experience.
  • Step 2 competency
