The Therapeutic Care team are keen to recruit motivated and enthusiastic support workers.

The team is unique in how it delivers care, improves patient safety and experience within the hospital setting. The service provides 1:1 care and support for patients who require continuous enhanced observation at the James Cook site. And although the role can be challenging, it is extremely rewarding. With strong support structure  in place, and opportunities for individuals to grow and develop within the healthcare setting. This post can also offer the  opportunity for apprenticeship study which will support progression from Band 2 to Band 3.

Essential criteria
  • Communicates well with good listening skills and is able to adopt an appropriate style and method of communication.
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
  • Ability to use initiative to make a decision within sphere of work and/or knowledge recognising where assistance is required.

Qualifications Band 3

Essential criteria
  • Level 2 English and Maths functional skills
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ Level 2 in Care (Level 2 Diploma in HealthCare) or able to demonstrate appropriate transferable experience

Desirable criteria
  • Level 1 English and Maths functional skills
