Education and Qualifications

Essential criteria

• Registered General Nurse or ODP Qualification
• Current NMC / HCPC registration
• Diploma or Degree in relevant qualification

Knowledge & Skills

Essential criteria

• To provide clinical expertise within critical care providing person – centred care.
• Facilitate the development of junior staff providing preceptorship, support, and assistance in their own professional and academic development.
• Effective verbal & non-verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work within a multi-professional team.
• To assist other staff members in their time management and ability to prioritise care.
• Maintain a high standard of clear and concise documentation and record keeping within the clinical environment.
• Intermediate information and technology skills.
• To ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Reporting and processing of minor incidents and complaints.
• To act as an autonomous practitioner within professional and clinical guidelines.
