We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our dynamic team of Hospital At Night Practitioners. The successful candidate will provide enhanced clinical assessment/diagnostic and interventional skills for unwell patients across the hospital footprint. They will work closely with on-call medical team to help support the timely review of unwell patients.

There will be opportunities for initial and ongoing development; working alongside the Acute Medical ACP and Trainee ACP team.

Hours per week: 33.00

Be able to assess, plan and deliver appropriate treatment and continuous evaluation of care of acutely unwell patients

Demonstrates autonomy within their own workload of patients within their scope of practice

Works as an independent non-medical prescriber (adhering to Trust policy); or must be prepared to undertake the Non-Medical Prescribing Course within mutually agreed time frame. 

Contribute to the teaching and development of healthcare professionals, patients and carers.

  • RGN (Registered General Nurse)/RN (Registered Nurse)
  • Nursing Degree
  • Masters level short courses in specialist area or evidence of working towards
  • Teaching/ mentoring qualification
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Non-medical prescriber or evidence of working towards
  • ALS (Advanced Life Support / Skills) provider

Knowledge

  • Ability to demonstrate high level of clinical, organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Knowledge of recent NHS legislation, recommendations for specialist area.
