We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our Critical Care team in Withybush General Hospital as a Band 2 Health Care Support Worker.
This is a fixed term, part time role which will include shifts covering days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job
You will be helping to ensure that critical care runs smoothly by undertaking duties outlined by the Nurse in Charge on a day to day basis.
This will involve supporting the registered nurse with direct patient care, stocking unit with equipment, assisting with admission and discharges.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.

Qualifications & Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Level 2 in care or Ability to undertake a period of Induction and on the job training to include theoretical knowledge of care and a range of work related procedures, for example completion of a competency based workbook equivalent to Level 2 vocational qualification
- Ability to understand and comply with mandatory induction standards and Code of Conduct for Health Care Support Workers in Wales
Desirable criteria
- Level 2 vocational qualification in relevant health care related subject
Experience

- Experience of working as part of a team

- Previous experience working with people in a caring capacity.
