Job overview

Ward 10  Withybush General Hospital are looking for motivated, dynamic individuals who enjoy working alongside members of the MDT in a challenging but rewarding environment.  Ward 10 cares for patients who are being treated for an oncology condition, Haematology and for patients who are reaching the end of their life requiring palliative care 

We are ward area that actively  encourages staff development 

Full and part time posts are available. Shifts include days and nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

We are a supportive, friendly and motivated team and strive to deliver our Health Board values at all times.

As a unit we focus on a robust multi-disciplinary approach to ensure patients have the best possible outcome whilst staying with us. The MDT are enthusiastic about improving the hospital experience and overall patient outcome.

You will ensure patients receive safe, individualised and effective standards of care by following care plans and treatment interventions as directed by the registered nurse. You will also learn to communicate effectively and this will involve discussions with other members of the MDT and maintain ward philosophy.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 12,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales.
