Job overview

Critical Care is looking to recruit hardworking, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work as part of our team in Bronglais General Hospital.

The Health Care Support Worker role within critical care is to assist the qualified nurses in delivering the fundamentals of care to their patient, specifically assisting in changing patients’ position, hygiene and nutritional needs.

Main duties of the job

In addition to this a proportion of the role will be to ensure that patients bay areas are tidy and that trolleys and store rooms are well maintained and stocked.

You must be able to communicate effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team and to demonstrate a positive attitude by contributing towards achieving a quality service within the Critical Care setting.

The rota involves a variety of shift patterns including day/night duty to suit service requirements.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

48 general practices (six of which are managed practices), 47 dental practices (including three orthodontic), 99 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centres;

Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
