Main duties of the job
Flexible Staffing are looking for Healthcare Assistants to join the internal Bank. North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust Bank provides cover to Peterborough, Hinchingbrooke (Huntingdon) and Stamford Hospitals. With a range of long and short shifts available, working for Flexible staffing means you can work when you want to work in the areas that match your skill set.
The ideal candidate must be reliable, self-motivated and able to work as a member of a team to provide high standard of patient care in a variety of clinical settings. In return for your hard work and your professional, caring and reliable service we offer:
- Pay in line with Agenda for Change rates with additional enhancements when working ‘out of hours’
- Pay increments
- Holiday pay paid as part of your hourly rate
- Internally staffed booking team 7 days a week to assist booking your bank shifts
- Remote access to view available shifts and directly book for most staff groups
- Full induction package including paid classroom based mandatory training
- Full assessment support to achieve the Care Certificate

Education & Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Maths and English skills equivalent to Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy
Desirable criteria
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health-related subject
- Completion of Care Certificate
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience caring for others or providing customer service
- Experience of working within a team
Desirable criteria
- Experience of caring for patients in an acute setting
Key Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to communicate clearly in English in writing, via IT, verbally and using the telephone
