Exciting  Opportunity: Matron Role in Musculoskeletal (MSK) CBU

Are you a dynamic and enthusiastic individual looking for a unique opportunity within the Division of Surgery? We are excited to offer a substantive post within our innovative Musculoskeletal (MSK) Clinical Business Unit (CBU).

You will play a crucial role in supporting our teams to deliver the Nursing and Midwifery strategy while contributing to the broader Trust agenda. Collaborating closely with clinical leads, you will have the chance to develop partnerships within and across the Division. This position is ideal for someone with proven success in senior roles within multi-professional teams, possessing outstanding leadership and management skills.

As the Matron, you will establish credibility with various stakeholders and serve as a visible presence within our ambitious, high-performing team. A thorough understanding of the Matrons Handbook is essential. Above all, we are seeking someone who can motivate and engage others, ensuring that our services reflect the Trust’s values. • Patient-Facing Role: As a patient-facing role, you will be directly engaged with patients, ensuring their experience is positive and meets the highest standards of care.

• Focus on Patient Experience: The primary focus of the role is on enhancing patient experience. You will lead by example, striving to continuously improve the quality of care and services provided to patients.

• Leading by Example: You will serve as a role model for other staff members, demonstrating excellence in patient care, professionalism, and compassion in all interactions.

• Motivating and Empowering Staff: You will play a pivotal role in motivating and empowering staff members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.

• High Visibility and Accessibility: You will actively engage with stakeholders, addressing concerns, providing support, and promoting a positive working environment.

• Contribution to Strategic Objectives: You will actively contribute to the Trust's strategic objectives, aligning their efforts with organisational priorities and initiatives to drive positive outcomes for patients and staff.
