An exciting opportunity has arisen to cover 12 months maternity leave within the Hepatology Specialist nurse specialist team.

To provide a specialist nursing contribution to the clinical management of patients with Hepatological conditions working autonomously and in collaboration with multidisciplinary professionals ensuring the Hepatology service maintains a consistent high standard contributing to the improved outcomes for patients with Hepatology diseases.

To perform at specialist practitioner level, facilitating early assessment, supporting diagnosis and prompt treatment of patients presenting to North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust with Hepatology to facilitate care provision within the inpatient/outpatient setting, admission avoidance, timely discharge and ensure that management is in line with evidence based guidelines.

The main responsibilities of the role will be related to clinical expertise within Hepatology, with an emphasis on initiating, performing and maintaining standards of clinical excellence. The overriding purpose is to support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement.
