Job overview
We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for quality improvement and Falls prevention to join our falls team. This is an opportunity to demonstrate clinical leadership through education and training to promote proactive rather than reactive falls prevention across the trust .
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of a small falls team supporting divisional teams in the reduction of inpatient falls within the trust through formal and informal education . As a key member of the team the post holder will be expected to work collaboratively across all the disciplines within the multi disciplinary teams, as an effective communicator and driver of Qualitative Improvement Projects. To support the team creating innovative, quality planning and assurance within identification and management of falls risks and learning firm incidents.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse Degree in Nursing or equivalent
- Degree in Nursing or equivalent Allied Health Professional Degree
- Ongoing personal/professional development
Desirable criteria
- Leadership qualification / course
- Teaching qualification
- Mentor
Experience
Essential criteria
- Minimum 2 years working at senior level in acute/general nurse setting
- Experience of audit within the healthcare setting
- Experience of managing change
Desirable criteria
- Current teaching experience

Essential criteria
- Advanced communication skills
- Ability to critically analyse falls data to identify trends and help support practise
- Ability to challenge and embed change
- Ability to facilitate teaching
- Motivate staff to embrace new working practises
