The Coronary Care Unit and Cardiac Unit at Peterborough City Hospital work together to provide a dynamic, fast-paced and supportive environment for a wide range of cardiac patients. Eligibility:
We are only accepting applications from those with a live NMC registration or UK nursing students awaiting their PIN, as we are unable to support OSCE candidates at this time.

Main duties of the job
- Provide high-quality care to patients in the Coronary Care and Cardiac Units.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal care for cardiac patients.
- Participate in ongoing learning and development through our In-house Cardiology Education Programme.
- Assist in managing the unit's daily operations and contribute to a positive team culture.

Essential criteria
- NMC Registered Nurse
Experience
Desirable criteria
- Experience of teaching junior staff
- Experience of supporting/mentoring junior staff
- Experience of shift management in the absence of senior colleagues
- Experience of audit processes.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Understanding of nursing care delivery
Desirable criteria
- Management of acute Cardiology patients
- Understanding of discharge planning
Key Skills
Essential criteria
- Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care
- Problem solving skills

- IV medication administration
- Peripheral cannulation skills
- ECG recording and interpretation
