Job overview

Plum Tree Ward is a 30-bedded medical ward. 15 beds specialising in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, alongside with 15 beds for general medicine. There is a diverse patient group which includes Crohn's disease, Liver Disease, feeding and Eating Disorders and Substance misuse and general medicine conditions. 

The ward is challenging but also exciting to work on, with so many opportunities to develop your clinical skills caring for acutely unwell patients. Our team is hard working, positive and friendly. We work together as a team and we pride ourselves on going that "extra mile" for our patients.

*** Please note we are only able to accept applications from those with a live NMC registration or UK nursing students awaiting their PIN as we are unable to support OSCE at this time***

Main duties of the job

Plum Tree Ward is very keen to actively develop and support their staff, we have good support networks with the Practice Development Team to encourage and motivate students and new starters.

We recognise that our reputation is built upon the skills and experience of our dedicated team so we are looking to recruit staff with excellent clinical skills, effective communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with our patients and their families.

Our partner University is Anglia Ruskin University and we have Trust based competencies and training days for all our staff.
