Job overview

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Band 7 Clinical Lead to join our Joint Emergency Team (JET) which is a 2 hour response , admission avoidance service.

The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, a sense of accountability, flexibility and be able to work under considerable pressure at times.

You will lead and support the team, offering Clinical supervision and appraisals. Work closely with other team leads and the Clinical/Operational Manager to support the delivery and development of the service across the county.

Experience in managing a team is essential and experience in Clinical triaging.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an experienced Clinician with a passion for delivering high quality care with experience in either Acute medicine, Emergency medicine or community experience.

The successful candidate will provide Clinical Leadership and Operational staff/service management.

You will work alongside colleagues with real expertise in the area of community care.

The Team has a passion for improvement, innovation and delivery of high quality care  to patients in their own homes and working with the wider multi disciplinary teams within the local community.

We are looking for Clinicians who are team players, have highly developed communication skills , are able to work flexibly and can prioritise own workload.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs.   • Jointly with your counterpart provide professional and operational leadership for the Triage function of the service
  • As a Locality Lead provide operational and clinical leadership for your locality.
  • Ensure the provision of high quality, responsive services with the needs of the patient at the centre of care delivery 
  • To have a clinical role within the team, providing expert clinical leadership
  • To provide a high quality of care to patients who have a wide range of physical needs affecting their ability to maintain a level of independence

Essential criteria
  • RN Degree/Diploma Adult Qualification.
  • Paramedic Degree/Diploma
  • Mentorship qualification
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
  • Advanced Clinical Assessment Course
Desirable criteria
  • Independent Supplementary Prescribing.
  • Experience of teaching in clinical practice.
  • Management/Leadership Course Level 5+

Experience

  • Significant time post qualification
  • Experience of complex care planning and MDT/Long term conditions.
  • Autonomous practice.
  • Knowledge of unscheduled care practice.
  • Community experience.
