About the Role:
This dynamic position offers the opportunity to work across multiple sites, with a primary base at Doddington and regular travel to other NWAFT locations. You will play a vital role in leading and supporting the outpatient nursing team, delivering safe, effective and compassionate care in a community outpatient setting.

Main duties of the job

- Provide clinical leadership and management to the outpatient nursing team.
- Ensure the delivery of safe and high-quality patient care in a community setting.
- Coordinate patient pathways, promoting a smooth and efficient experience for all.
- Support the development and training of staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Drive innovative service improvements and implement best practices across sites.

Essential criteria
- NMC Registration
- Mentorship module/Preceptor training
- Evidence of continuing professional development

- Management/leadership certification
- Revalidation training
Experience
Essential criteria
- 5 years post qualification experience in Hospital or Primary Care
- Previous Outpatient Clinic Experience
- Post registration experience to demonstrate relevant clinical skills for this post
- Mentoring experience
Desirable criteria
- Participation in a change management project
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of current clinical evidence-based practice
- Knowledge of current professional issues related to nursing
Desirable criteria
- Experience with risk assessment and adverse events investigations

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise work
