Job overview

**Previous applicants need not apply**

We have a 12-month fixed-term/secondment opportunity for a Team Manager to lead a motivated and hardworking CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Service.

The role involves leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team consisting of psychologists, family therapists, nurses and CAMHS practitioners. Our team works with young people with neurodevelopmental needs and co-morbid mental health difficulties. We also have a learning disability pathway and complete diagnostic assessments of ASD and ADHD. The post-holder will join the leadership team to lead on and contribute towards service development and clinical effectiveness.

We are looking for someone with a desire to support and develop staff within a leadership role. You will have strong communication and organisation skills, and be motivated to lead a team in order to effectively support the mental health needs of those accessing child and adolescent mental health services.

The role involves day-to-day management and leadership of the team, as well as service development. There is the opportunity to discuss how some direct clinical work (up to 20% of the role) could be incorporated into the post if you come from a clinical background. There are plenty of training opportunities available, including a 6 month Compassionate Manager programme.

If you are interested, please get in touch to discuss the role further.

Main duties of the job

Clinical requirement: Undertake the required clinical work to maintain registration with the post holder's governing body (This may equate to approximately 40% of the work but will remain flexible).

Work in partnership with clinical and pathway leads, the Service Manager and other senior staff to establish effective multi-disciplinary working within the team and the wider CAMH Service.

Liaise with a range of stakeholders including commissioners (where appropriate).

Lead on the recruitment and supervision of staff, operating within the available resources to achieve the required targets.

Lead on the establishment, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures.
