Job overview
The Respiratory Team are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic respiratory nurse who is looking to progress their career into an education role to support the delivery of education and training for our workforce within the Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be a credible respiratory nurse with a passion for delivering education and training.
Main duties of the job
To act as a role model for delivering high quality care through strong education leadership, evidence-based training and education, and effective coaching and assessment in clinical practice.
To be an expert practitioner and change agent in respiratory medicine, promoting lifelong learning.
To support newly qualified staff in the clinical floor to ensure that they achieve their full potential in clinical effectiveness.

Education, Qualifcations and Training
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse with an active NMC registration
- Completion of appropriate management/ leadership course
- Teaching and Assessment recognised qualification
- NMC approved mentorship qualification
Desirable criteria
- Recognised advanced communication skills
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of teaching in a classroom or ward based setting
- Clinical credibility with experience of working within the healthcare arena across acute and /or community settings
- Experience undertaking Clinical Audits
- Experience in change management and team leadership
Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good time management skills
- Have experience of giving written and verbal feedback to students and learners
- Demonstrable experience of problem solving Resourcefulness
