Job overview

The Maternity service at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is looking for a new member of the Antenatal Clinic team to have oversight for the Antenatal Outpatient services across both sites working alongside colleagues in screening , day assessment and fetal medicine this  post will be an excellent opportunity for a midwife looking to move into a senior position in an operational management post

Main duties of the job

Maternity services at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust are undergoing transformational change in line national guidance and the need to address health inequalities that exist particularly for women and birthing individuals from minority backgrounds and high risk groups.

Our vision is for our maternity services to become even safer, kinder, more personalised and family friendly. In order to achieve this, it is vital that we  ensure care is safe and delivered in a way that is aligned to local, regional and national guidance.  The post holder will work closely with the clinical leads for obstetrics and the senior midwifery team  striving for excellence in Antenatal care .

  • Relevant Degree or equivalent
  • Evidence of post registration CPD
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of further professional, academic, business or management study

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrable experience of improving patient safety
Desirable criteria
  • Experience at Midwife level e.g. specialist midwife or ward/team management
  • Experience of involvement in risk management
  • Proven experience in the implementation and monitoring of quality improvement
  • Demonstrable knowledge of contemporary Nursing and Midwifery workforce changes
