Job overview

The post-holder will provide clinical expertise at a senior level to inform and influence the

quality agenda via the Neonatal Risk and Quality Group and will collaborate

with providers within BSOL system to ensure that the quality and safety of care and patient

experience is maintained and improved. The post-holder will take responsibility for leading

on agreed priority areas, working collaboratively across the system promoting coproduction

and system quality improvements. Alongside  the Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership

(MNVP). The post holder will provide Senior Clinical expertise working in effective

collaboration with the Local Maternity and Neonatal System 

 

Main duties of the job

   A strong and credible leader who is open and honest, providing leadership in the clinical areas supporting the senior team in staff and clinical management

        Actively seek opportunities for service development

       To be a positive excellent role model, ensuring good staff relationships, effective communication and implementation of the Trust values.

    Lead challenging communication situations, where is bad news or conflict and be able to resolve. 

        Inspire and lead the teams and others to meet national and local requirements.

       To be able to think critically and be visionary in approaches to care, instigating and leading on service developments       Communicate to help solve problems in everyday challenges

        To engage with staff to ensure the Neonatal Service is the Best Place to Work

    To assess the training and development of staff and provide appropriate experience or advise accordingly liaising with the Education Team.

 

       To work closely with the Safeguarding Team and provide support and guidance to staff.

Essential criteria
  • Specialist Neonatal award such as ENB 405, Neonatal Pathway, Paediatric Intensive Care
  • First degree, level 6 study or equivalent
  • Study at level 7 or willing to undertake
  • Registered Nurse, sub part one
