Detailed job description and main responsibilities

To contribute to the development, planning and delivery of a variety of Immunisations within a number of different environments.

To undertake appropriate health assessments prior to Immunisation, in line with national guidance, Immunisation policy and the best evidence based practice
To liaise with schools, families and other organisations, providing clear relevant information promoting Immunisations and supporting the process of obtaining informed
consent.
. To deliver the immunisations ensuring safe and best practice is maintained
To be competent in all aspects of Immunisations and act as a resource for professionals, public education and other services
To participate in the induction and training of new staff, student nurses and other appropriate care workers.
To assist in the ordering of vaccines and Immunisation equipment,

The post holder must be independent mobile due to the requirement for the frequent travel and transport of clinical materials across the BCHT area
