Staff Nurse - Neuro Rehabilitation

NRU has currently has an opportunity to to recruit a staff nurse to join their friendly and professional team. 

We are seeking a highly motivated registered nurse to join our Neuro-rehabilitation Unit based at the West Berkshire Berkshire Hospital. The unit has 10 dedicated rehabilitation beds for patients following neuro surgery,  head injuries, stroke, for those who have neurological conditions such as Gillian Bare  Syndrome  and  long term conditions such as multiple sclerosis. 

Our team is looking for an enthusiastic nurse with a passion for delivering high standards of care, whilst working with compassion and kindness towards our patients and each other.

We work together as a large multidisciplinary team, all striving toward our  shared vision to help our patients recover with maximum independence. 

The multi-disciplinary team work closely with community services  and have regular contact with other hospitals  excellent communication skills are essential for this job role.

You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and specialist skills in neuro-rehabilitation rehabilitation.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder is responsible for undertaking and recording a
comprehensive nursing assessment and planning, delivering and evaluating
high standards of evidenced based nursing care to a diverse group of
patients.

Is expected to deliver care without direct supervision. Is accountable for
the care delivered and any omissions of care.

Is expected to teach and supervise more junior staff, students and the non
registered nursing workforce.

Is accountable for care or any omissions of care that he/she delegates to
others.

Is expected to act as role model, delivering care with empathy and
compassion as part of a multidisciplinary team.
