Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse (ENT OPD)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 SSN to join our small, friendly team in ENT outpatients.

We are a busy department and rely on excellent communication skills and organisation to ensure the smooth running of clinics cross-sites.

The successful applicant will be required to support the Sister in managing and leading the team in providing excellent patient care.

A specialist interest or experience in ENT is essential. Clinical experience in providing ear care, pre-operative assessment and assisting with minor surgical procedures are desirable.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with excellent clinical, decision making and communication skills and someone who has the ability to translate the trust's vision into action.

Main duties of the job

You will be providing high quality nursing care in the specialties of Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) and Plastics.  

Our service is mainly based in Townland Community Hospital  in Henley-on-Thames. Successful candidate would be expected to support  activity cross-sites.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post holder works as a skilled practitioner and is responsible for the delivery of patient -focused programmes of care, which address the complex and changing health and well-being needs of the client group in their clinical area.

The post holder ensures the smooth running of the ward / department in the absence of the Ward Sister/ Charge Nurse, and provides clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and support staff.
