We are looking for an enthusiastic friendly highly motivated person to join our ever evolving OMFS team. The job involves providing a high standard of quality care to a wide variety of patients , some with complex needs. The department is a well-established service which is consultant lead and provides acute medical , orthodontic, restorative and surgical treatments within the areas.
Main duties of the job
The role as a Dental Nurse will be to act as a chaperone in clinics supporting the consultant / clinician. You will be expected to us your nursing skill to adapt to working in all areas previously mention, and learn new skills and techniques and you progress.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Qualified dental nurse that is enthusiastic friendly highly motivated person to join our the OMFS team. Providing a high standard of quality care to a wide variety of patients. The department is a well-established service which is consultant lead and provides acute medical , orthodontic, restorative and surgical treatments within the areas. You will be expected to assist in clinic and treatment services. Maintain good communication at all times written , verbal and non verbal.
Responsibilities will include daily running of surgeries, stock control and cross infection control. Demonstrate knowledge and awareness of dealing with hazards and dangerous substances . Help and mentor individuals when needed and work together as a team.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- National Certificate in Dental Nursing
- General Dental Council registration
Desirable criteria
- Oral Health Qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- A range of clinical experience on minor oral surgeries
- Significant post qualification experience
Desirable criteria
- Previous post in Community or Hospital Setting
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Understanding of the need of confidentiality awareness at all times

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
