Job overview
An opportunity has become available to join our team on Ward 7 as a Health Care Assistant. The ward specialises in Trauma and Orthopaedic cases with capacity to care for the elderly patients living with dementia. We are looking for an enthusiastic HCA to come to and join our dynamic team. Successful applicants will be given the opportunity to work alongside experienced Orthopaedic staff and the multi disciplinary team. Learning a variety of skills, such as dementia care, bay nurse, post op care, vital observation monitoring, nutritional support.
Main duties of the job
Applicants must have an approachable manner necessary to deal with patients and their relatives and desirable experience of a hospital environment. Applicants will work as part of a team of nurses on the ward and undertake patient fundamentals of nursing care tasks under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered General Nurse responsible for the patient's management.
If successful in the interview, the individual will work alongside a supportive team on ward 7. This role can be challenging at times, however you will be working as part of a well established team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
