An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to undertake the role of Dementia Support Worker to join our dedicated nursing teams on a Trauma and Orthopaedic ward 7 at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.
The successful applicants must have excellent communication and organisational skills and have the ability to deliver the highest standards of care in a demanding environment.
Main duties of the job
Ysbyty Glan Clwyd has an exciting opportunity within the Trauma & Orthopaedic team (ward 7), who are looking for a Band 3 dementia support worker. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who has experience of dementia care and is keen to assist in developing the service for the future. This is a demanding role that requires commitment and a positive approach towards change. You will have excellent communication skills and high clinical standards with a passion to make a difference for patients and staff alike.
This is an exciting opportunity to support Dementia patients during their stay in hospital. Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate care and compassion in providing support and care for patients with delirium.
The successful applicant will be supported to develop skills and ensure care of a high standard is delivered.
Full time post at 37.5 hours a week.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
