Job overview
An exciting opportunity has become available to to join our team on Dulas Ward, Ysbyty Gwynedd. Dulas Ward is a busy forward thinking unit which has 29 inpatient beds, focusing primarily on ENT patients with outliers from Care of the Elderly, Respiratory and Orthopaedics.
The post is for permanent healthcare support worker with full or part time hours available. To work on the ward, it will involve rotation onto night duty; the ability to have a flexible approach to working hours is essential.
The post holder will support the trained nurse and other health care professionals in the delivery of the highest standard of patient focused care. They will assist in improving the quality of the fundamental aspects of Health and Social Care for individuals who are acutely or chronically ill, frail or disabled.
Applicants must have experience with working in healthcare.
Main duties of the job
To assist the registered nurse in carrying out direct nursing care.
Perform patient observations: temperature, blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, blood glucose and urinalysis following a period of on-job instruction and training.
To undertake delegated duties related to patient care that contributes to the ongoing support of patients.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
