Imperial Private Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated Pre-Admission Manager to oversee and enhance our pre-admission pathways across our three sites: Charing Cross, Hammersmith, and St Mary’s Hospitals.

In this role, you will play a vital part in optimizing patient flow, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing patient safety. You will lead a team, collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders, and drive best practices in pre-admission assessments, ensuring a seamless and patient-centred approach to care.

Efficiency of the Pre-Operative Assessment (POA) pathway (e.g. minimisation of on the day cancellation in theatre)

·         Excellent nursing care and health promotion

·         Liaison with secondary and primary care

·         Well-led and supported team

·         Effective controls in the maintenance of budget

·         Implementation of nursing strategy and supporting the Trust/Division Objectives(implementation of new safety flows)

·         Enhance patients experience by ensuring follow up calls are made for all elective surgical discharges within the pathway time frame agreement

·         Seeks continuous stakeholder input in order to identify growth opportunities and developments

  • Registered nurse or operating department practitioner.
  • Current NMC/HP Registration and PIN
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Pre-Operative Assessment Course
  • (Minimum Foundation level) Evidence of continued professional development within specialty.
  • IT literate

  • Management course
  • Working towards higher degree (e.g. Masters or PhD).
  • Pre Operative Assessment Course Advanced Level
  • Day Surgery Course

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years at Band 6 in Pre Operative Assessment. (POA)
  • Experience of autonomous working in POA.
  • Experience of processes involved in managing a team.
  • Experience in leading appraisal process
  • Knowledge of quality improvement, standard setting, benchmarking and audit.
