As an integrated mental health, learning disability and community Trust, Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including:
• Primary and secondary mental health care for children and adults including specialist inpatient child and adolescent mental health provision, perinatal mental health, forensic services including low and medium secure care.
• Specialist community support for children and adults with learning disabilities and autism, including intensive support.
• Community physical health and well-being services for children and adults.
The Trust was first established in 2002 and employs approximately 7,000 staff who provide care from more than 400 sites. Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be dynamic and forward thinking with the ability to work as part of a Team and in partnership with local services, there will be an expectation that the successful applicant will uphold the Trust values at all times and act as a role model within the teams in providing quality care.
Successful applicants will undertake a full induction to the team and will have access to regular clinical supervision sessions and an opportunity to complete their appraisal focussing on their personal and career development. Furthermore a network of likeminded leaders who work closely to deliver excellent care across the service will support the successful candidate.

Education
Essential criteria
- Registered Mental Health Nurse/ Registered Learning Disability Nurse (as appropriate) or equivalent relevant professional registration (Social Worker, Occupational Therapist)
- Post graduate continued professional development
Desirable criteria
- Training and/or qualification relating to clinical supervision
Experience
Essential criteria
- Post qualification experience within relevant services
- Experience of working with a wide range of mental illnesses
- Experience of providing clinical supervision
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of mental illness and impact upon quality of life
- Risk formulation
- Demonstrable interest in continuing developing knowledge

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
