Main duties of the job

We looking for a motivated leader to come and join the G4 Ward team.  G4 is an 17-bedded paediatric regional surgical, urological and nephrology ward.  G4 specialises in a whole range of surgical, urology and nephrology conditions including renal dialysis, tumour resection, major bladder and bowel surgery.  The ward treats children from birth up to 18 years old.  G4 includes a paediatric haemodialysis unit - a rotation is offered to staff to learn this specialist skill.

  • 1st Level Registered nurse on relevant part of the NMC
  • Register Recognised mentorship qualification and experience as a Sign Off mentor
  • Degree or working towards
  • Completion of appropriate specialty Course
  • Higher Education Institute approved course in supporting learners in practice.  Supporting a range of learners in practice  Supporting colleagues to promote effective learning in practice
  • Extensive experience in specialty to include considerable experience at Band 6 level
