What are we looking for?
Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Robotics Surgery Surgical Care Practitioner to join our Surgical Institute.
This is a full-time role with the following shift patterns: 07:30 – 20:30, 3 long working days per week between Monday – Friday and on-call requirements to cover 1 in 8 weekend services.

We are recruiting a Robotics Surgery Surgical Care Practitioner to help deliver and optimize the Robotics Surgery program at CCL. The role will include clinical duties supporting Robotic surgery interventions and peri-operative care under the supervision of a senior surgeon, alongside responsibilities for developing the team’s surgical skills and knowledge in Robotic surgery with opportunity to progress cross-specialty.
What will your duties include?

Be autonomous in specialized skills related to Robotic surgery including prepping and draping, port incision, robot set up, instrumentation knowledge, management of bleeding, specimen management and drain insertion.

Actively participate in surgical procedures at the direction and/or instruction of the Consultant surgeon.

Develop research-based practice, quality assurance in line with the Care Standards Act 2000 and clinical audit.

The post holder will always be under the supervision and/or instruction of the consultant surgeon who has overall responsibility for the surgical care received by the patient.

Facilitate junior members of the team with their CPD, setting goals, facilitating training opportunities and mentoring as appropriate.
What we need from you?
-
Significant experience at a Surgical Care Practitioner level assisting surgeons through robotic surgeries, with experience in abdominal and pelvic surgery preferable.

Demonstrated skills in clinical decision making, clinical surgical skills, teaching, critical thinking, coaching, counselling, problem-solving and conflict resolution.

Ability to proactively identify opportunities for team and individual improvement, skills and knowledge development and engage staff in teaching and training.

Eagerness to take autonomy in Robotics projects while utilizing collaboration with the Lead SCP and various consultants.

Acting as a point of contact for Robotic surgery and services to optimize patient care.
