Symphony Healthcare Services (SHS) is a largescale primary care organisation based in Somerset that provides NHS services via Primary Medical Service (PMS) and General Medical Service (GMS) contracts commissioned by the Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group.
Following the organisations establishment in April 2016, Symphony Healthcare Services currently operates and supports 16 GP surgeries across 20 locations in Somerset and Devon to continue to provide primary care for their population.
In common with the national picture, some of our practices have previously been struggling to manage the combined pressures of increasing and more complex patient demand, as well as difficulty in recruiting clinical staff. By joining together we aim to meet the current and future challenges by providing a sustainable, high quality healthcare service for our patients.
