There has never been a more exciting time to join Bradford District Care Trust!

CAMHS Crisis team support young people who are experiencing a mental health crisis or are in acute psychological or emotional distress, presenting with an increased risk to self and or others when presented in acute hospitals and the community.  The crisis team also conduit between tier 4 services and community services by supporting young people who are ready to come home from hospital. 

We are currently looking to recruit a Team Leader to provide outstanding leadership to drive operational quality of the Crisis Team and Enhanced Treatment Team within the Children Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) at Bradford District Care Trust.

Ensuring that the teams are working effectively to deliver the best possible mental health assessment and treatment for Children and Young people, the Team Leader will be the point of focus for all people-related management within the two teams and be confident and experienced at both managing people at a personal and organisational level. 

A demonstratable proven track record of people management and delivering strong results through a team in a people management role is essential as it is spotting and developing talent in your team through coaching and guidance. You will also have the ability to challenge decisions and behaviours to ensure consistency in healthcare delivery to our service users.

The role will require you to lead your people and effectively communicate, being able to judge a situation and support your staff and management colleagues. You will work to ensure your teams are motivated, engaged and resourced effectively whilst supporting the strategic goals of the organisation and the objectives of your teams.

You will set performance targets and continually review progress by creating action plans to improve performance, finding solutions to problems and develop and drive continuous improvement strategies.

The post holder will provide leadership, managerial and supervisory responsibility for a group of practitioners working as a multidisciplinary team providing specialist child and adolescent mental health services.

The post holder will work collaboratively with other team managers to ensure clinicians can be released to provide input to the specialist teams, for example eating disorders, LAAC, SEAD, Neurodevelopment team, Core Team as well as specialist district wide services.

Key partnerships include adult mental health services, learning disability services, social care, education, consultation to Primary care colleagues, other children’s services within the voluntary sector.
