Healthcare Assistant

Band 2-4

Spire Gatwick Park Hospital is an important hospital in the Spire Healthcare portfolio. We have a broad range of modern acute facilities which include 3 operating theatres and an endoscopy suite. We have 44 single private rooms, 2 critical care level 2 rooms, a 16 bedded day care unit and 12 consulting rooms. We have state-of-the-art CT and MRI scanners. These are supported by a number of other departments like Physiotherapy, Pharmacy and Pathology. In addition Spire Gatwick Park Hospital is a partnership site for BUPA Wellness offering different types of health screens. We are also a partner hospital for Breast Health UK and are accredited for both bowel and breast cancer.

We are looking for an experienced and NVQ3 qualified Healthcare Assistant to join our Theatre department at Spire Gatwick Park Hospital. Our Healthcare Assistants are an intrinsic part of our clinical teams, working closely with our Nurses and ODP's in carrying out a range of basic nursing tasks in the Theatre department.

Healthcare Assistants play an important role in Theatres, and there are opportunities to work in a variety of settings with Consultant Surgeons and Anaesthestists. If you are someone who enjoys making a difference then this could be the role for you. On a daily basis you will be helping our patients maintain their comfort, privacy and dignity.

We regularly support our Healthcare Assistants to achieve additional qualifications and competencies so that they can carry out an increased range of clinical tasks. As you become more experienced and qualified you will be able to broaden your range of clinical duties, making this a role that truly grows with you. A caring nature, good communication skills and a willingness to learn and develop are essential.

Hourly rate:

Our 'bank workers' work ad hoc shifts as and when required to suit business needs, often to cover busy periods, sickness or annual leave.
