We have exciting and challenging opportunities for Registered Nurses to develop their skills within the Gastroenterology ward at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospital Teaching Trust.
Ward 24, at Doncaster, offers a broad spectrum of experience of acute medical conditions. The successful candidate’s will be provided with experience in a variety of medical conditions, such as upper Gastrointestinal bleeds, Liver disease management and care, Colitis / Chrons medical management often with shared care with the surgical teams, and Upper Gastrointestinal Cancers such as Pancreatic and Oesophageal cancers. The acute nature of many of the medical conditions, and also the management of some of the biggest growing cancers, requires a nurse who is committed to providing high quality care to all her patients, with care and compassion.
The ward team benefits from excellent leadership from the management team. The ward sisters remain committed to promoting health and awareness of liver disease, and improving the quality of care for the gastroenterology patients on ward 24.
As a Staff Nurse working on the ward you will be a valued member of the team, providing high quality care to patients, in a professional, compassionate and competent manner. You will be able to contribute ideas and support clinical initiatives in order to provide evidence based patient care. You will be provided with an induction program
