We have an exciting opportunity for a nurse to join our growing Interventional Radiology team at an exciting time of investment and development in Interventional services.
We are seeking to recruit a professional, outgoing, caring, adaptable, dedicated individual to join our team, our aim is to provide excellent patient care that is adaptable to the patients' needs and the needs of the service as we continue to develop our scope of practice.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of Nurses, Operating Department Practitioners, Support Staff, Radiographers and Consultant Radiologists to deliver high standards of care within the imaging modalities of Interventional Radiology etc. The varied nature of this specialty means there is always something new and interesting to learn.
This is a diverse role where you will learn the skills of a Interventional Radiology Nurse.

Main duties of the job
This is a great opportunity to become part of a well-established team and work hand in hand with other professionals to deliver a high-quality care.
Provide and maintain high standard of Nursing care working in the Interventional Suite of the Radiology Department, working as part of a team with the Radiologists and Radiographers and Health care assistants.
To assist in procedures as a scrub nurse, monitor them during procedures, support patients both physically and psychologically before during and after their procedures.
Administer to and monitor patients having conscious sedation for complex radiological procedures. You will liaise with other members in the department and hospital.
The service will expand to provide emergency services out of hours and successful applicants will be required to participate in the on call service following completion of a competency based training package.

Essential criteria
- NMC Registered Nurse
- UK driving licence with ability and willingness to travel across trust sites
- Good communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal
- Proven recent years experience on a Surgical/Medical ward/Radiology department
Desirable criteria
- Teaching Qualification

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
