Job overview

Are you looking for a new challenge?

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic registered nurse to join the vascular/leg ulcer nursing team. The role will involve working as a member of the nursing team in 7 community leg ulcer clinics throughout the county. It will involve implementation of local and national clinical pathways of care and improvements to the service.

The hours are 37.5 per week and is a permanent post.

Full driving licence with business cover is essential to travel to all clinics.

Main duties of the job

You will work as an integral member of the Leg Ulcer Team, ensuring the smooth and effective running of the Leg Ulcer Service on a day to day basis.

You will be expected to provide evidence based professional advice on all aspects of leg ulcer management to patients and their carers.

Working for our organisation

As an organisation, the NHS offers a wide range of benefits including flexible working, pension contributions, market leading annual leave allowance, career progression and regular conversations, not to mention our Blue Light Card and NHS exclusive discounts.

The benefits of working in Somerset include the idyllic countryside, with our areas of outstanding beauty and stunning coastlines. You will get to enjoy these perks whilst still only being a stone’s throw away from bustling city centres like Bristol, Bath and Exeter and only two hours away from London.

There are excellent educational facilities in the area and, when compared to other regions, house prices are reasonable. You will experience the best of both in Somerset, the countryside and the cosmopolitan – there is truly something for everyone!
