Staff Nurse

Band 5

The Nottingham University Hospitals Cardiac Intensive Care Unit is situated within The Trent Cardiac Centre at City Campus; 16 beds providing level 2 and level 3 care to patients following cardiac surgery.

We are currently looking to recruit enthusiastic, forward thinking nurses to our team in this often challenging environment. You should possess the ability to work well in stressful situations, have excellent communication skills and good interpersonal and organisational skills.

You will be responsible for providing care to patients who are mechanically ventilated and sedated, having invasive lines, chest drains and inotropic therapy. Some patients also require additonal support such as intra-aortic balloon therapy and/or haemofiltration.

We have a well structured development program for Band 5 nurses catering for all levels of experience which is enhanced by our own unit clinical educator. We also offer the opportunity to rotate to other clinical areas within Heart Services.

We are fortunate to work with an exceptional team of people who will guide, support and challenge you to reach your potential.

We have permanent positions available and can support part and full time.

We strongly recommend an informal visit.
