Specialist Nurse in Safeguarding

Band 7

We have a vacancy for a band 7 Specialist Safeguarding Nurse to work alongside our existing team of staff seeing children of all ages and their families in the Nottingham Children’s Hospital based at the QMC.
The responsibilities include;
The post holder will be required to lead the development of the SARC service within the Nottingham Children’s Hospital, to evaluate and assess current service delivery and performance, devising, piloting and implementing changes in practice that deliver significant and substantial improvements in access and service delivery, whilst working within a budget, this will include project management of a new location.
Ensure the service specification for the new service is delivered in a safe and compassionate manner.
Lead the team in ensuring governance and performance indicators are delivered.
Collate data to inform the next stage of the SARC development
Convey and present complex information written and verbal, formally and informally as appropriate. Ensure that when applicable information is maintained and kept in an appropriate place.
Work together with Named Professionals in the development of evidence based patient care policies and procedures/audit; addressing the Governments goals for children in relation to safeguarding.
Facilitate multi-agency working.
