An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 8a Matron post for Neurosurgery, Neurology and Spinal services. Nottingham University Hospital is a regional centre for these specialties and is one of the busiest centres in the country. The Neurosurgical and Spinal service has a strong reputation for training and innovation. The Multidisciplinary team work closely together to ensure patients receive the best possible care and outcome.

We are looking for a highly motivated professional nurse to undertake the role of Matron. You will have an extensive skill set in nursing management and leadership and be an effective communicator. You will provide strong effective and visible leadership, be accessible to patients carers and staff. You will be a positive role model. The post holder will have a particular responsibility to support the developments of Clinical Governance and Service Improvement, to modernise patient services and ensure the active involvement of patients and carers in the way services are developed, delivered and evaluated.
