What’s your practitioner passion? Whether it is clinical, education, research or management we will encourage your personal development as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) in the Emergency Department at Nottingham University Hospitals (QMC campus).
Nottingham University Hospitals Emergency Department is the region’s major trauma centre and one of busiest emergency departments in Europe seeing over 170,000 patients a year. Within the emergency department is an established advanced clinical practitioner service. The team consists of 26 qualified and trainee ACPs working across the emergency department and we are now looking for extraordinary individuals to join our team.
We are looking for highly motivated, knowledgeable and enthusiastic qualified ACPs to join our team at our Emergency Department. The successful candidate/s must have a completed MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice, a portfolio demonstrating evidence of their clinical competence and ideally have completed or be working towards Royal College of Emergency Medicine accreditation.
Along with your clinical work across the department you will have six hours a week to undertake your own continued professional development. You will be given the opportunity to follow personal interests and pursuits whether that be in education, teaching, research or management, as well as take part in a monthly ACP development day. The successful candidate will initially be given a temporary 6 month training contract, with view to extending to a permanent contract upon successful completion of the training period/programme. You will have an allocated consultant supervisor with dedicated time in their job plan. Your clinical development will be well supported and include access to a post graduate education plan.
We’d also like to hear from you if you are an ACP in another clinical area with the relevant qualifications but are looking to change your area of practice. We may be able to offer a supervised practice/training role to enable you to develop your skills, competencies and a portfolio within Emergency Care.
Go on, take the plunge and develop a new passion for patient care in an established ACP team in a challenging but supported and caring environment.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
