We are a 27 Bedded Acute Medical/Cardio-Respiratory Ward caring for Acutely Ill Adults.
We are looking to recruit passionate, motivated, innovative, dynamic & driven nurses to join our team. You will have excellent communication skills & a passion for your role and in improving patient care.
You will be required to deliver quality care in line with the Trust care values and we as a ward will value you & offer training specific to the needs of the ward, and you will have opportunity to develop your clinical skills in Acute Illness Management.
The Trust offers a lot of opportunity for our nurses to develop in all aspects of their practice through internal and external training, for care standards to be maintained and evidence based practices to be delivered.
A full induction package will be offered to you and we will support you in all aspects of your training & career development, in return for commitment, dedication & enthusiasm for the role.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an assessment centre face to face at Kettering General Hospital. There is no option to do this virtually. You must have a full NMC Registration, the trust DOES NOT currently offer OSCE preparation to obtain NMC.
Main duties of the job
The role of the nurse/midwife is to provide a holistic, high quality, patient focused, comprehensive, efficient and safe service for the patients cared for at Kettering General Hospital, acting with responsibility, accountability and integrity; reporting adverse events and
poor practice to the person in charge. The nurse/midwife would be expected to effectively and responsibly use resources and engage in change and service improvements.
Standards of practice at Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (KGH) are aligned to the standards set out by the Nursing & Midwifery (NMC) Code: Standards of conduct, performance and ethics for nurses and midwifes (2008). Standards of practice and care, at
KGH, also encompass the Chief Nursing Officer’s 6 C’s campaign and concentrate the nursing agenda on Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, and Commitment.
The post holder may be required to rotate through other wards and departments as required to support Trust business and patient care.
The post holder will act at all times in accordance with the NMC code and local standards of care and policies.
