This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and innovative practitioner to develop their safeguarding skills alongside working in a Specialist role with Children in Our Care. The role will be split, requiring the practitioner to work operationally with a caseload of children 2 days a week and will be part of the developments within the safeguarding team for 3 days a week.  The post holder will be responsible for working proactively and independently in managing their workload.

In part of the role you will work corporately in providing, assessment and support for a caseload of 16-18 year olds living in Stockport. This is a challenging and rewarding role with opportunity to develop the health assessment process and progress the Specialist Nurse role within the Initial Health Assessment clinic alongside the Paediatrician.

The service also has a key role in supporting School Nurses and Health Visitors in their work with Children in Care, providing professional consultation and advise. This role is a development one and would suit an autonomous practitioner who is passionate about improving standards and driving quality improvement across the health economy.

The Safeguarding team is under transformation and this post is an exciting opportunity to be part of current and future developments. If you have a passion for training and supervision and understand the complexities that the safeguarding agenda brings both locally and nationally then we would like to hear from you.
