An exciting opportunity has arisen as we are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and committed Trust Grade Matron with relevant experience to support our Renal services

Specialities include:

Renal dialysis satellite units across Greater Manchester
Acute renal in patient ward
Transplant service
Renal outpatient department
Vascular Access service
Peritoneal Dialysis
Home therapy training team

We are looking for a Trust Grade Matron who will be accountable and responsible for the following key areas:

• Provision of leadership by providing collective and supportive visibility
• Improve and sustain fundamental standards of care across all clinical areas
• Providing a safe, clean, and personal environment that promotes and drives best practice in all aspects of infection control
• Treats patients with dignity and respect
• Provision of clinical areas with senior leadership during regular and unsocial hours
• Ensuring all quality improvement work is implemented and sustained reliably

To enable accurate assessment of the quality of nursing care through the Trust Nursing Assessment and Accreditation System (NAAS)

You will demonstrate a passion for improving the patient and carer experience and have a sound clinical knowledge base. In addition to this, you will possess well developed leadership and communication skills that will be used to engage, inspire and motivate both staff and patients in the clinical area.

You will need to show you have the ability to manage complex situations .

Excellent time management is essential to this role.

You will need to have a clear understanding of governance issues .

The post is offered as a secondment / fixed term contract for 12 months.
