Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital is one of the largest children’s hospitals in Europe and has an international reputation for excellence in healthcare and teaching. An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated theatre band 6 senior practitioners to join our busy expanding department. We are particularly interested in candidates that have proven skills in scrub and anesthetics that are committed to delivering care to our patients supporting their families with pride, respect, empathy, consideration, compassion and dignity.
We provide children’s theatre provision for many varied specialties including Transplantation, nephrology, pediatric surgery, ENT, Trauma, orthopedics, Spinal surgery, Cleft lip and palate, plastics, burns, max fax, Urology, Thoracic, endoscopy, rheumatology, hematology, respiratory and dental. We provide staff to satellite areas, such as MR scan, Cardiology, Oncology on site as well as offsite in partnership with our radiology colleagues at Christie Hospital. Supported by a strong team, you will have the opportunity to work with world renowned surgeons and anesthetists who are highly specialised in their areas of expertise.
We encourage our teams to take part in audit and research projects, showing we care for our staff through excellent development and progression opportunities. To enhance your skills in your specialty, we offer a range of internal and external courses.
We are able to support the right candidates with a flexible approach to work that encourages a healthy work life balance. However, we expect all staff to be able to rotate on days and nights.
