Whether you’re a Band 5 Student Nurse or already qualified and looking to return to the profession, Central Manchester Foundation Trust has just the job. That’s because, right now, we’re looking to recruit a number of nurses across our Gastroenterology Acute Wards.
Join us and you’ll have the opportunity to work on one of our two 28 bedded wards caring with pride for all our patients suffering with severe conditions including complex alcohol related and non-alcohol related liver disease, liver cancer and cirrhosis, hepato-biliary conditions and inflammatory bowel disease.
Specialising in nutrition management such as managing intestinal failure, gastroparesis and eating disorders, we’re also competent in all forms of enteral and parenteral feeding as well as managing complex bio-psycho-social problems with the help of our in-house Specialist Liaison Nurse for Mental Health & Addictions so there is endless opportunities to develop your skills, knowledge and experience in this field.
To succeed, you’ll need to be committed to delivering high quality, patient focused care with pride and respect, have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to provide evidence of personal and professional development. You’ll also be part of a fantastic and dedicated team that supports each other and operates with consideration and dignity at all times.
In return for your skills, enthusiasm and commitment, you can expect some truly excellent development and progression opportunities and a comprehensive induction programme with bespoke gastroenterology study days tailored for your learning. You will also have the chance to study an accredited IBD and hepatology course at Salford University along with rotational options to work in the Endoscopy Department too.
It really is a great chance to join a go-ahead Trust that has an integrated health, teaching, research and innovation campus with state-of-the-art facilities right in the heart of Manchester. As well as offering a diverse range of services to over a million patients a year, our specialist hospitals have a real community feel and are home to hundreds of world-class clinicians and academic staff.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
