This is an exciting new post to continue to develop the Hepatology service at the Trust, helping to manage the increasing number of outpatients and inpatients with chronic liver disease. The postholder will help to develop a service for ED in-reach, early supported discharge and admission avoidance working alongside our current Liver CNS and part-time Hepatitis C nurse.
Successful applicants must have the following
• Evidence of career progression and development seeking new challenges
• Previous Hepatology or Gastroenterology experience helpful but not essential
• Excellent ICT skills to help develop and maintain a database of liver outpatients
• Excellent communication and time management skills to effectively manage both and out and inpatient caseloads
• Genuine enthusiasm, commitment and passion to develop this new nurse-delivered service

The post would be Band 6/7 dependent upon experience. For Band 6 level applicants, Band 7 would be applied when the postholder undertakes clinics independently, with supervision.

We value our staff and offer a full range of benefits, on-site nursery facilities and restaurant as well as a wide range of training and career development opportunities. We are proud to say that our staff survey results show that our staff look forward to coming to work here.
We aim to continually improve our facilities and services and some recent improvements include: a new acute medical unit and endoscopy suite, a new specialist neuro-rehab unit, a refurbishment of our maternity unit, a new Macmillan cancer information centre as well as an award winning dementia friendly ward for elderly people with complex health conditions.

*Please note that we reserve the right to close this vacancy earlier than advertised if application numbers are high. It is particularly advisable to make early applications for admin and clerical positions.
