Senior Primary Care Nurse

Band 6

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join us as a senior primary care nurse as part of the Primary Care team within the prison of HMP Send.

This is a varied role working within a Primary Care setting and involves assessing and treating patients, carrying out triage, liaising with the multidisciplinary team, providing health treatments and carrying out effective care planning.

Working in prison-based healthcare is challenging and rewarding – you can make a big difference to the women serving sentences many of whom come from tough and disadvantaged backgrounds.

We are looking for a knowledgeable clinician with a good understanding of primary care health issues. They will provide excellent physical health clinical guidance to staff and patients and will work well as part of a team and Trust with a ‘can do’ attitude.

This post attracts an additional incentive of £2,500 which will be paid in the first year of service(Terms and conditions apply). This is in addition to the salary scale noted above.
