HMP Downview - Senior Primary Care Nurse

Band 6

We are inviting you to join our Primary Care team at HM Prison Downview as a Senior Primary Care Nurse.

Our motto? Caring not judging.

Working in prison-based healthcare is challenging and rewarding – you can make a big difference to the lives of women serving sentences, many of whom come from tough and disadvantaged backgrounds.

This is a varied role working within a Primary Care setting and involves assessing and treating patients, carrying out triage, liaising with the multidisciplinary team, providing health treatments and carrying out effective care planning.

Joining a large, forward-thinking Trust will bring you excellent development opportunities, an exciting career structure, and job satisfaction. We are looking for a knowledgeable clinician with a good understanding of primary care health issues. They will provide excellent physical health clinical guidance to staff and patients and will work well as part of a team and Trust with a ‘can do’ attitude.

This post attracts an additional incentive of £2,500 which will be paid in the first year of service (terms and conditions apply). This is in addition to the salary scale noted above. Full terms and conditions for this additional payment are available by clicking the document “Diggory Golden Hello”.
