Community Psychiatric Nurse

Band 6

An excellent opportunity has arisen in one of the Hillingdon CMHTs in the North of the Borough for a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse. This is an ideal opportunity for you to make the next step in your career and develop in a Community Mental Health role.

We are looking for suitable an experienced registered Mental Health Nurse who is currently working at band 5 or band 6 level in a mental health setting.

Hillingdon is a diverse Outer London Borough with excellent transport links. The team is based in Ruislip Manor (Pembroke Centre). The newly reconfigured community mental health teams are multidisciplinary, including Social Workers, Psychologists, Employment Specialists and Peer Support Workers.

Support is offered to achieve personal and professional development through regular supervision, both clinical and managerial. CNWL has a robust learning and development programme and support would be provided for the successful candidate to develop his or her skills.

Interested candidates will need to demonstrate experience of:
• Working in Mental Health as a qualified nurse
• Ability to think creatively as well as have the flexibility to meet the changing needs of this client group
• Ability to work autonomously within a team setting
• Risk Management
• Medicine Management
• Working in a recovery focused way with service users and carers.
• Knowledge of a range of mental health conditions
