Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and adaptable individual to join our HIV CNS team. The post will be based in the Patrick Clements Clinic in Central Middlesex Hospital.
This is a great opportunity to develop clinical knowledge and skills in the care of those living with HIV. You will be involved in the management of a caseload of clients with multiple needs. The post holder will work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team which includes Consultants, Health Advisers, Pharmacists, Clinical Nurse Specialist and Dieticians caring for patients with HIV/AIDS
Main duties of the job
To work within the multidisciplinary team in the provision of advice, support, and management for those living with HIV.
To competently undertake relevant investigations to facilitate diagnosis and treatment for those living with HIV.
To offer HIV health promotion and counselling to women and men from adolescence onwards within clinic, hospital and outreach settings. The post holder will work in partnership with colleagues both within the acute and community setting to deliver evidence-based HIV and SRH service to the local population of Brent.

Essential criteria
- NMC Registered Nurse
- Post registration qualification in HIV or equivalent.
- Mentorship / Practice Assessor
Desirable criteria
- NHIVNA Course
Experience
Essential criteria
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience working within HIV services
- Evidence of up-to-date knowledge of the specialty
- Experience of providing advice and treatment to clients of all ages and from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge / experience with contraception, gynaecology and HIV counselling.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
